STREET SQUASH NEWARK
The first sports program established at Eagle Academy for Young Men of Newark was a partnership with Street Squash. Founded in July 2012 and modeled after StreetSquash located in Harlem, NY, StreetSquash Newark is a comprehensive after-school youth enrichment program that combines intensive academic support with squash instruction, one-on-one mentoring, service learning, college access and preparation, and professional development for young people from adolescence through college graduation.

MISSION
StreetSquash Newark’s mission is to provide consistent, long-term and reliable support to the children, families and schools in Newark. By exposing students to a wide range of opportunities and by maintaining the highest standards, StreetSquash Newark aims to help each child realize his or her academic and personal potential.
