“The Rumble Young Man, Rumble is a prime example of how CBMA seeks to invest in and support the Hometown Heroes and Local Leaders who are advancing the field of Black Male Achievement. RYMR5 turned out to be the best rumble yet, and we can't wait for number 6!"
Shawn Dove CEO, Campaign for Black Male Achievement |
On November 30-December 2, 2016, the Campaign for Black Male Achievement (CBMA) will host its 6th-annual "Rumble Young Man, Rumble" gathering for Black men and boys! Since 2010, “Rumble Young Man Rumble” has convened leaders nationwide in Louisville to share promising practices and lessons learned, and to create collaborations with young Black men in communities across the country.
CBMA CEO Shawn Dove, along with Rev. Dr. Alfonso Wyatt of Strategic Destiny LLC, developed the theme and title of the “Rumble Young Man, Rumble” event, which embodies the encouraging and edifying counsels between Muhammad Ali and his corner man, Drew “Bundini” Brown. “Rumble Young Man, Rumble” solidifies Dove's vision of the Muhammad Ali Center with Louisville serving as the "epicenter for Black Male Achievement.
Said Dove, “’Rumble Young Man, Rumble’ is a prime example of how the Campaign for Black Male Achievement seeks to invest in and support the Hometown Heroes and Local Leaders who are advancing the BMA field."
At the 5th Annual event last December, we live-streamed our first-ever CBMA Awards, which included a poetry slam, special guests, and more! This year's awards, taking place on December 1st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. EST, will also be livestreamed, the link for which you can find and save HERE.
